April Favourites!

Can you believe it's May already?!

But, April is finished and as I'm entering the first of two of the most important months of my entire life (i.e. GCSE months), here is a nice start to what will be a horrific month for me.

Soap & Glory The Daily Smooth Body Butter

So I had surgery at the end of March (*weeps*) on my wrists so my hands have been super duper dry because I couldn't properly wash my hands, which sounds so trampy but if you saw the horrific bandages then you would completely understand. But anyway, the skin on my hands was so dry so I thought that a body butter would be better than just a regular hand cream, and I saw this one on the side and thought, 'oooh I've not used you enough, I'll have a little try' (well I didn't really think that, but you get the picture...). After trying this and a couple of other products, this one was definitely the best. I tried the Jergens Body Moisturiser too which was okay, but the smell wasn't that great and the formula was a bit thin. Wow I'm getting a bit off topic now, ha ha -- so basically it feels great on the skin, does great and smells wonderful.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle and No7 Powder Blush in Soft Damson

Now I put these two together because I have been wearing and loving this combination throughout April. I've had the blusher for quite a while now but I bought the MSF at the beginning of the month (it was mentioned in my last haul post, click HERE to read that). I wasn't overly impressed with it at first but you really don't get the full potential out of it until you see the sun reflecting on it - it's beautiful. I've been wearing this with a contoured cheek bones, but it needs something to break up a line of contour and a line of shimmery glowiness - this is where the blush comes in. I've just been applying this on the apples of my cheeks to break it up a bit and add some colour. But I've been loving this combo!

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Now I used to absolutely love the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for applying my foundation, but since buying the Real Techniques Core Collection I am in love with the buffing brush! I've used this everyday since - I find it a lot easier to apply my foundation with because the top of it is flat so the foundation can be buffed into the skin a lot easier.

Real Techniques Contour Brush

This is the number one multitask brush -- you can use it for contouring (it's specific use), blusher, Bronzer, setting powder... It's so good. I've only really been using it for contouring and blush. It's so good!
*NOTE* This comes in the same set as the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which also includes a detailer brush (can be used for concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, lipgloss) and a pointed foundation brush. And they're all synthetic so you can use them with powder, cream, liquid or gel products and still be able to clean them easy enough!

So I thought I would do a non-beauty related favourite, but throughout this month I've been loving Rihanna's new album, Unapologetic. Now I know it's been out since November but I've only just started listening to it and I just thought I'd let you all know how much I'm really liking it!
