June Wish List!

Hey everyone!
Though this is my third (maybe fourth...) monthly wish list, I still have not got round to buying anything off of the other month's - I've been extremely busy, not to mentioned getting distracted by other products I see in store.
Here are a few things that I have seen and been wanting this past month.

I've been told (and I've read) that this is an exact dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, but for a very small fraction of the price. As I've been wanting the Naked 2 palette for while now, after falling in love with the original, I thought I would maybe try out.

I have seen so many bloggers talk about this, and show that they have been using it. I've not yet joined the BB cream hype, however apparently this is a lot different. And the fact that it is Dior makes me want to try it out even more because I'm pretty snobby.

A cult favourite, it seems to be. This can be used as a contour, as a bronzer or can be mixed with the foundation to make it a darker shade (like if you had a tan for example). The fact that the packaging looks so chic á la Chanel makes it even more worth it.

In the Zoeva brush range there are so many MAC dupes! But for a fraction of the price! I first heard of this company from Tanya Burr, Zoe (Zoella) and Louise (Sprinkle Of Glitter) as they had been sent some and then they had used them or talked about them in videos. They look so good, very good quality. And for €5.80 for a MAC 217 dupe?! That is pretty amazing. I can't wait to try these out!

I put these two together as I would be wearing them together if/when I buy them. These are shades that are very summery so I would probably wait until September to start wearing them as they are quite dark, but I just think they are so gorgeous! I first saw them online and thought that they looked nice, and then I found them in store, which I've never found lip pencils before. I swatched them both and just though "oooeeeee preeetttyyyy'. These are definitely autumn/winter shades, but I love them so much.

Prom Beauty Tips!

Hey everyone!
So it's prom time here in the UK and so I thought that I would share with you some tips for makeup and hair and nails and all that good stuff if you are planning on doing it yourself!
I'm really sorry by the way if your prom has already been - mine isn't until the 28th so I just figured that everyone else's is that late in the month too!

So what should I take in my prom bag?

I am the world's worst person for travelling light, in terms of handbags. I'm ever so slightly worried for prom as my bag is rather small and so I'm not going to be able to take everything you could possibly think of with me (as I usually do!).
One thing for certain is the lip product you are wearing. Because you are going to be talking and eating and drinking, your lipstick or gloss is going to be the first thing to disappear - lipgloss especially!
Another thing, for me anyway, is perfume. Now for some reason my skin just likes to eat up (or drink up I suppose...) my perfume and so I always take my perfume with me too!

 Make sure...

 • ...your skin is powdered, even if you have dry skin! Any shine will show up so much on photographs so you need to make sure that the centre of the face at least is powdered!

 • ...your foundation photographs well and has no flashback. What is flashback? It is where your foundation makes you look pale and washed out in flash photography: this is because of the SPF sunscreen that is included in most foundations - the aim of SPF is to either absorb or reflect the light away from the skin, reducing or stopping too much sun exposure to the skin, causing sun burn and eventually causing premature ageing, age spots and possibly cancer. This is all a bit technical now isn't it... It's hard to find if a foundation has flashback to it unless you buy it and then photograph it on your skin. It doesn't tell you in a shop or on the container "this causes flashback" as it would probably scare a lot of people. But yes... I'm rambling now... A foundation though that has been recommended by a lot of people for having no flashback is Illamasqua Skin Base. Now I know that it is a little pricey, however it is meant to be very good and gives a natural medium coverage. A cheaper alternative foundation that gives no flashback (and is one of my go to foundations) is Revlon ColourStay. This comes in two different formulas, one for normal to dry skin and another for combination/oily skin, and sets to a demi-matte finish.

•  ... you trial your hair, makeup and nails before the day! Trial it a few times before so that you know how to do it and to make sure that you like it!

I hope you have a lovely prom!

Do you have any other questions? Let me know in the comments! Hopefully I've covered some things. If you're looking for some last minute inspiration I would definitely recommend looking on Pinterest!

Hair Care Haul!

Hey everyone!
So to start off with I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in what seems like a long time (I think it's been a week?), but I've had exams and so been very stressed!

Anyway, the other day I did a little bit of shopping... Oops. There is a valid reason though. I'm in the process of getting my hair from very very very dark brown to very light brown with highlights, which has proven to be an absolute nightmare - leading to three lots of bleach on it.
So as you can imagine my hair is pretty knackered, so these purchases have strictly been for hair replenishment.

So the first thing I picked up was the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner
This was the thing that I was intending to buy - just this - however Boots kindly had an offer on! I've tried this before as they sell it in sachets too, and it is very nourishing! My hair at the moment is extremely dry from the middle downwards so this will hopefully help it a lot!

Second product I got was another deep conditioner which is the TRESemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment .
I haven't tried any of this range yet but I hear it is supposed to be very good. My hair is very weak at the ends and breaks very easily, and I also get split ends very easily as I use so much heat on my hair, and this apparently "visibly repairs up to 2 years of damage" - well that sounds pretty good to me, I can't wait to try this out!

The next product, also from TRESemme, is their Split Remedy Split Mend and Protect Leave In Treatment
I used the conditioning masque from the Split Remedy range a few months ago and it really did help my hair, however after getting distracted by buying makeup instead, I never ended up repurchasing it, despite it being so good! They say that there is an "80% reduction in split ends after 3 uses", which I would say is true after using the masque, so hopefully this is as good!

Okay, so my last product isn't really hair care as such, it's more a styling product, but it is the VO5 Give Me Texture Tousled Style Spray.
It is basically a texture spray, that you can either spray on dry hair for "instant texture" or on towel-dry hair either before blow drying or drying naturally.

I'm looking forward to trying all these out and I'll possibly do a review and my thoughts on these once I've tried them out for a while!

Summer Beauty Edit

So I have here for you the seasonal beauty edit for summer, talking about some products that I absolutely love for summer time.

I hope you enjoy!

The scent of coconut has always been a reminder of summer to me - I think I may have used a coconut-scented sun cream when I was younger and then since it's just stuck. I love The Body Shop's body butters. They feel so lovely, smell amazing and are very nourishing on the skin.

I mentioned this in my I Heart Summer post ( HERE ); it is very fresh and light and so to me is perfect for summer! Unfortunately I don't have any left in the bottle so I am in desperate need of a new one!

I was bought this for my birthday last September and I love it so much! It is so unique and beautiful and looks amazing with a tan! I last used this in THIS face of the day post. It's just beautiful!

Cream shadows are absolutely perfect for summer, and what I love about these is that they set so do not stay sticky, they are very long lasting and they do not crease! You can wear these alone or as a base for a powder eyeshadow. I love these so much and I am hoping to expand my collection very soon.

This is perfect for summer for three reasons - it is a fantastic colour for summer, it is very light and it smells/tastes so amazing. I know that isn't really a factor that you should chose a product on, but it is definitely a benefit (mind the pun, ha ha ha).

Lady Danger and Viva Glam Nicki are in my top three favourite MAC lipsticks (along with Russian Red). Though Impassioned isn't included in this top three (and it is still loved), it is a wonderful bright summer colour along with the other two. I love and rate MAC lipsticks a lot. There's such a vast colour range and so definitely something for anyone.

I mentioned this in my THIS May favourites post. Bronzers are something I find inevitable for summer time, and this is probably the one bronzer I have found that I really like so far.

This was mentioned in THIS spring beauty edit post, but I think that it is a great spring/summer shade and product. Well honestly, I think it is a great all year round product!

Along with bronzer, coral is inevitable for summer also. This shade is on the pink side of coral, but works with every skin tone because of the self-adjustyness (it reacts with the pH of your skin to make it the correct tone for you, it's unfortunately not magic).

This is a great multipurpose product, and as you all know that is what excites me most about a product (#looser). I use this in two ways: I mix it with my moisturiser and then apply my foundation over the top for a subtle glow. I also apply this on its own to the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose and Cupid's bow to add highlight.

I love this colour so much! It looks absolutely gorgeous on the waterline or on the lower lash line with gold shadow. I also found when I was photographing all these products that the MAC Expensive Pink eyeshadow that I mentioned above looks absolutely gorgeous with it too! I will definitely do either a tutorial or a FOTD using those two together.

Dove Summer Glow is a product I have been using for quite a few years now. It is a nourishing body lotion with a gradual self tanner in which gives an even natural tan. It smells nice when you first apply it, however when it has dried it starts to smell a bit biscuity (fake tan lovers you will know what I mean!).

Super summery colours! I mentioned Pink Flamingo in THIS I heart summer post. I love these colours. I find that they last quite well which is always good!

I do apologise for all repetitiveness, however there are only a certain amount of products that I can write about and use!

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you did don't forget to follow my blog using either Bloglovin or subscribe via email!
